Now You See Me

Now You See Me is a series that explores the spotlight of movement, and the vulnerability within our bodies. It’s a direct reflection of pain, expression and grief. These photographs were taken in a studio, a bit different than my previous works. They are meant to be a cohesive set, juxtaposing two images of both the spotlight and the double exposures of movement. The contrast of stagnancy and flow act as a reflection of ourselves, how we see our bodies, and how we release that which needs to be released.

There is a darkness to these works, a stance on a woman’s experience, the perceptions of the world and what we’re socially allowed to express.
